Senior PHP Developer – Delhi (Full-Time)

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced and results-driven Senior PHP Developer to join our growing development team in Delhi. The ideal candidate should have 3+ years of professional experience in PHP development and a strong background in building secure, scalable, and high-performance web applications.

You will play a key role in designing, developing, optimizing, and maintaining enterprise-grade web applications while collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality software solutions.

Key Responsibilities

1. Design, develop, and maintain robust web applications using PHP and MySQL.
2. Build scalable, secure, and high-performance backend systems.
3. Develop custom web applications from concept to deployment.
4. Collaborate with frontend developers, designers, and project managers to deliver business requirements.
5. Write clean, modular, reusable, and well-documented code following industry best practices.
6. Optimize application performance, database queries, and server-side logic.
7. Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve application issues efficiently.
8. Ensure applications meet coding standards, security guidelines, and quality benchmarks.
9. Participate in code reviews and mentor junior developers when required.
10. Stay updated with modern PHP technologies, frameworks, and development trends.

Required Qualifications

1. Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, MCA, or a related field.
2. 3+ years of professional experience in PHP and MySQL development.
3. Strong knowledge of core PHP and object-oriented programming.
4. Experience developing applications on Linux, Apache, PHP, and MySQL (LAMP stack).
5. Good understanding of MVC architecture and software design principles.
6. Experience working with RESTful APIs and third-party integrations.
7. Knowledge of HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and Bootstrap.
8. Familiarity with Git and version control systems.
9. Strong debugging, analytical, and problem-solving abilities.
10. Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
11. Ability to work independently as well as within a team.

Preferred Skills

1. Experience with modern PHP frameworks such as Laravel or CodeIgniter.
2. Knowledge of database optimization, caching, and performance tuning.
3. Familiarity with Linux server administration and deployment processes.
4. Understanding of web security best practices (authentication, authorization, SQL injection prevention, XSS, CSRF, etc.).
5. Experience with Docker, cloud platforms, or CI/CD pipelines is an advantage.
6. Familiarity with Agile/Scrum development methodologies.
